Emmys 2009

For a fashionista like myself, the Fall and Winer season is AWARDS FASHION TIME!

This year I wanted to start out with the Emmy's and share my opinions of who was looking fierce on the Red Carpet this year!

I think its fairly easy to tell from my editorial that Mila Kunis in her "vampire blood" red Monique Lhuillier tule dress was by far my favorite! She was criticized for this dress by the E! Fashion Police - but I couldn't disagree more. The length could have been shorter or stayed where its at - Either way - MIla is super petite and can pull of any length. Her hair was nicley swept up and with the curl appeared a bit romantic, which I think goes well with the corset-burlesquish part of the dress. LOVED the shoes and actually wouldn't go with any other choice. Modest earrings and bracelet polish the look by not overwhelming the design - That's an A look!!!

My 2nd favorite was January Jones in a stunning white Atelier Versace. She also mentioned that she does not use a stylist and picked out this amazing gown on her own. I love the fit, the grain, the geometric design - Donatella comes though yet again! Let's face it : Italians DO do it better! Normally with a strapless dress I would go with a necklace to dress the bare body, but in her case the top of the gown does enough. I liked her choice of modest jewelry to really bring all attention to the gown. Good job JJ!!!

On the bottom, I listed remaining gowns that tickled my fancy, but are not as good as the 2 above:

- Lindsay Price in a purple J. Mendel - Plain but so pretty!

- Blake Lively in a RED !!!! hot Versace (May not be THAT appropriate for the Emmys but when do u wear a tasteful, sexy dress if not in your 20s)

- Perrey Reeves in a sleek and shimmery Naeem Khan

- Cat Deeley in a nude Alberta Ferretti (once again Italian !!)

AND Let's not forget my small (head) tribute to Gennifer Goodwin's on-the-go but swanky short bob!

That's my Emmys experience in a nutshell - WHAT WAS YOURS????
